Meandering

Interesting how much the river course has changed in the last few years on our regular 'Schickling' walk. It's part of a 'managed' re-naturalisation for the area, with just a few matters managed e.g. use of fertiliser, late mowing of grass but much, such as beavers allowed to bring down trees, no shoring up of banks, letting nature find its own path/river bed.
