Homemade Baileys
First of all Christmas part two got cancelled. We are nor doing very well! Adie, the son-in-law has gone down with the flu so Boxing day get together has been postponed to the new year, and we have had to move a lot of party food around so that it would not get wasted. Mrs W and I are now full of sausage rolls and homemade Baileys (see below).
Late morning I was experiencing even more problems with Microsoft and my re-build, and I decided that what I really needed was a homemade Baileys. This was a commiseration to cheer me up.
For reasons best known to Microsoft I could not get the latest upgrades to W10 by downloading and installing. I needed this order to run a number programs that I need including installing the correct video drivers – I was down to one screen!!!
Then, suitably armed with a prototype Baileys, I noticed that if I shut down a different way I got the opportunity to ‘restart and update’ which was not showing on the normal shutdown/restart tabs.
So, hey-presto, the download sequence got underway and I celebrated by working on Baileys’ the formular.
The update froze at 75% so I feared the worse, and finally rebooted the pooter. Hey presto again, it seems to be working ok.
I just have a few other problems to resolve but I think I may have the situation under control.
So now suitably fortified with a number of attempts at the perfect ‘Irish Cream’ (Scottish really, I suppose) I am struggling to type up some sort of sense and wish you all a happy Boxing Day.
Ps – my blip was going to be “A chilli start” as first thing this morning I made a “Chilli con something” from the excess sausage meat etc from yesterday’s culinary exploits (see extra). Three good meals for two now in the freezer.
