Nellie

Taking a walk down memory lane today, I'd like to introduce a past and very loved member of our pet family.

This is Nellie, a beautiful natured German Shepherd, who we first met when she was only a couple of weeks old. She lived with us for just short of twelve years and she and Tess were great friends. Tess's soul purpose in live has always been to please her humans, whereas Nellie was more of the rebel, so Tess did her best to keep Nellie in line!

When Nellie left us, back in 2007, joining our other German Shepherd, Sire, and Rottie, Bear in puppy dog heaven, my daughter Hayley put together a lovely display of photos taken of Nellie only a couple of weeks before she was gone, adding little trinkets of frangipani flowers, Nellies name tag and the word LOVE to the collection.

Todays blip is just one of those photos, a magical moment of when Nellie seemed to know I had the camera in my hand, so she poked her head out from behind the bushes to have her photo taken.

I couldn't help but wonder if she had a preminition that she wouldn't be with us for much longer. But she will always hold a special place in the hearts of every member of our family. :)
