Old Harry

The yacht is hove to at  at anchor (my Shorter Oxford English Dictionary tells me that that is the past participle of "heave", esp nautical), but it looks as if she has set course for Old Harry, in the distance.

Today we gathered with members of the family, mostly new to us in the last four years, for what has been their family tradition for a good while: a Boxing Day walk on Knoll Beach, Studland.  The weather was not ideal, the sun was always on the coast to the northeast of us, and it tried to rain several times, but it was fun.

And I enjoyed several people's home-made biscuits, stollen and mince pies . . .
