Savio brownie.

I'm still very much a novice where game fishing is concerned, but I'm growing in confidence and gradually improving.

This beautiful brownie is one of a number that were stocked onto a private estate pool earlier this year. They've put on a bit of weight since then and are now displaying the markings that make them so recognisable. This one gave a great fight and, you'll be pleased to read, was returned safely and none the worse.

Given the commune with nature (spider taking residence in my fishing bag, damsel flies darting about etc.) there's not much in life that I'd rather spend time doing at this time of year.
