Boxing Day Walk

Happy Boxing Day!

For the walk, we took advantage of it not pouring with rain and headed along the track to Intake 7. Rather than continuing to the falls we took a hill track which cuts a steep rake up and across the lower slopes of the Grey Corries. Archie thought it was terrific.
Mrs SJR commented that we could no longer see the ewes in the field where we parked to set off. (and there were hundreds) As we descended to the Intake 7 track junction we could see them being shepherded along the track we join again on our return. It looked like a mile long ewe train.
By the time we got back down to that level they had all passed. Archie would have found all the activiy quite scary, Quad bikes, swearing shepherds (esses) collies and all that sheep. Although they were gone they had left interesting smells.
