It was in just the right position for the setting sun to catch its red front and the tips of its wings and tail.

I'd taken myself out for a much-needed walk, also to test my feet after dropping an 8kg block of salt on one of them. It hurt so much that I really thought for a moment that I'd done some damage, but I seem to have got away with it. After the pain subsided there wasn't even any bruising or swelling, thank goodness. I really don't want to have to spend any time in A&E or Urgent Care right now.
