Wound up in Wexford

A visit to Skansen

Skansen is a large open air museum in the central area of Stockholm.  Today it was open at a reduced price, for shorter hours than usual.  The shorter hours were plenty long enough for us as we're currently a couple of crocks - I still have back problems, and W has pains in various places that limit his walking.

A multitude of interesting living exhibits.  Here in the clearly quite well-to-do printer's house (lemons at Christmas in Sweden, tea, Indonesian liquor) the lady of the house (or was she a servant) was demonstrating the components to make punch.  Above her head, knäckebröd hung up to keep it from the rats.

In extras - the Swedes do not need sunshine to enjoy a barbecue.
