Blindness

Did you ever see the Fernando Meirelles film, Blindness, based on the book by José Saramago, where everyone starts going blind, seeing not darkness, but only whiteness? As I emerged from the path onto Blackroot Pool in Sutton Park, wondered if I'd been struck by the same plague, the fog obliterating almost everything.

A lovely, relaxed day, where it felt like we caught up with ourselves, and got to the Park for a decent walk. And ended up having supper with our long time friends, Geoff and Hélène, with Deb joining us at the end.

To finish off Mary's Voice: While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born...
She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them (Jesus, God with us - in our world, which can feel dark, vulnerable, uncomfortable)...
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest heaven" (Jesus, God in all his glory, heralded by angels)...
Luke 2v 6-16
