1-2-3 Reflection (MM570 Results, Upcoming MM571)
Merry Christmas! Hope the festive season has been treating you well.
Lost the last blip I uploaded due to iPad battery exhaustion, but back again for another day!
Today we visited the National Archives to see the exhibition on 20 Years of Australian Geographic Photography (which was excellent). A very enthusiastic guide also led us to the Constitution Room and gave an incredibly engaging talk on what you might have thought was an incredibly dull topic. It also gave rise to today’s main which seemed appropriate for next week’s Mono Monday (MM571) theme of Reflection. The picture is showing Queen Victoria’s seal on Letters Constituting the Office of Governor General.
Did you know
· Australia has spent 123 years as a colony and 123 years as an independent country? 2025 will see the balance swing to independence (but likely no real difference to the original inhabitants)
· King Charles is yet to make his own seal
· Seals feature in one of my extras (gratuitously)
Extras show a few quick snapshots, one of the photographic exhibition, and two of the lovely Connections room.

Upcoming MM571 (Theme: Reflection)
This Monday (30 December) post a mono of a reflection (using water, shiny surfaces, mirrors….) or a picture that sums up your reflections on the past year or future resolutions and tag it #MM571. I’ve got new visitors arriving (on the same train that takes my mother-in-law back to Sydney) so I’ll still be a bit time stretched, but hope to get results up by next Friday (and possibly, or possibly not, my missing blipdays).
