In Holiday Mode
I’m so used to getting up at the crack of dawn for swimming at Porty that it’s hard to get out of the habit which is why I rocked up at the Princes Street M&S at 8.35 this morning to find that the shop was crammed with delivery crates and shelves a bit depleted.
What do you give as a small gift to neighbours celebrating their70th wedding anniversary? Even the cards only go up to 60 years. One of the couple is diabetic, no chocolates then, so a pot of bulbs seemed the answer. That done and some vegetables bought for a vegetable casserole, I was sitting nursing a coffee aware that the Daughter would not appear before 9.30. The shop’s WiFi was still on Christmas holiday mode so I couldn't even play with my iPhone- it was a long wait.
Having missed any blip opportunity, this is the best I could do, a montage of an unlikely meeting between 2 rabbits and Santa Claus on a gold guinea. What the 3 of them don’t realise yet are my designs on their soon to be demise. They have about 3 hours left until I return from my TGIF drinks.
