What I've Done

By JohnGravett

13 Years!

I can hardly believe I've been Blipping every day for the past 13 blipyears* (does that make me a Blipteen)? but it seems like I have, along with a goodly number of Bliptwins. I always try to take an "appropriate" pic for my blip birthdays, and was thinking along the lines of a bakers dozen. But Andy arrived the other day with a small bottle of 13 year old malt whisky. I've never seen a 13 year old bottle before, so pounced on the chance.

I would have loved to have taken a photo of my late father's lucky cufflinks, bought on the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Florence during the war, but sadly stolen in a burglary of his house in the late 1970s. (Maybe not so lucky after all).

How amazing is it to still be part of this wonderful community, to have all these friends - many of whom I haven't met, many who I have - spread all over the world, from within my camera club, to past-guests of my business, to the USA, even to New Zealand.

Thank you all for following my humble journal, which apparently has been viewed 3.3 million times over the years!

On a note closer to home, I woke to lovely conditions, so on the way for my flu jab, I spent a couple of hours at the lake, shooting the three extras.

Thank  you all Blippers - here's to year 14!

*Blipyear: Multiples of 365, no allowance for leap years.
