Burnham Overy windmill

It was very murky again, even the tide was slack and could barely be bothered to come in. I didn’t fancy walking on the bank again as it looked busy with folk so I walked from Norton along Marsh Lane which was lovely. A marsh harrier was gliding over the marsh and, as I looked across to the old Carmelite friary I half imagined white robed friars looming in and out of the mist tending their fishery fed by the cool holy waters of Our Lady’s Well https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2630860690822269645. I crossed the clear waters of the chalky river Burn and called on Peter and Mel who celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year. After tea I headed through the village and back across the fields to Norton as the day murk gave way to night murk with the constant background sound of unseen geese overhead which I began to think were the geese that I always carry with me but then I looked up and they emerged (extra).
