Christmas Day going Swimmingly

A very Isaiah view. 'The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light.'
The whole day had very low light levels with cloud, although no rain.  And then, just before splashing into the Lake, this patch of sunlight lit up the mountains. The contrast was so marked that looking at it made your eyes water - something a photo cannot catch.
It didn't stop the experience being Jolly. Chilly. but it certainly lightened my heart and reminded me again of the Mass we went to yesterday evening, the promise held in the Christ Child and the hope for at least patches of Peace.
