Alarming

We set off late morning hoping to get to Barnard Castle in time for a refreshing walk and a cup of tea and an eye test. No such luck.

The roads were packed and slow and when I opened my eyes to see the view I felt pretty anxious. I’m glad I was in the back.

We arrived 1.5 hours later than we planned but had a quick walk in the dark and the rest of the evening in the hotel bar. Great stuff.
