Boats in the Sky!

A little shot here of some canal boats crossing the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, near Wrexham, on the Llangollen Canal. It carries the canal over the River Dee, some 126ft below! Its also just over a 1000ft long, 11 ft wide, and just a smidge over 5 ft deep. It has recently been drained, and completely re lined, a mammoth task!

The area is also known as the home of the world famous Froncycyllte Male Voice Choir, who have had some chart success with albums, including Voices of the valley. Worth a quick listen anyway I think!
