Never bothered me anyway…
Perhaps there’s a slight madness to today’s collage, if only because it’s past midnight, I need to sleep and I’m on my phone and rather limited…
The thing is, we moved today - from hotel to house, from the harbour to the heights of Edinburgh, from one family to the other. We paid a brief visit to the Sales in town with Anna and her mum, exchanging a wrong-size present. I was affirmed in my lifelong aversion to the post-Christmas horror of such an activity. Then we had a great lunch, as traditional as any, of turkey soup (distinguished by a dash of Armagnac) and sandwiches, finishing off with the madness of Catriona’s re-run of a performance of that song from Frozen - the one with the line “Cold never bothered me anyway “ - hence the sock flying off to the right. Go figure…
And then we left; drove to our older sons’s house for another visit. We had a walk with Po the collie and his ball, then came back to drink champagne and then enjoy another epic meal. There were crackers and crowns and the lower photo is of my lovely younger grandson. We’re being so well looked after that I may never feel like cooking for myself again.
But we’ll see …
