Flower Friday : : Bidens
A tiny flower, almost a ground cover, is about the only thing blooming in the garden right now, but I feel ready for a non-seasonal blip! It rained quite hard in the night, though we have no way to tell how much, since it runs down the drains very quickly. We're fortunate because a lot of people are dealing with leaks and or floods or the aftermath of floods, mud. Another advantage of living on a hill surrounded by concrete!
No time to linger over coffee and panettone this morning because we had to drop Spike off at the beauty parlor at 8:30. I felt a bit like a parachute mom when I told the woman who checked him in that he was freaked out by the sound of leaf blowers, so they might want to go easy on the hair dryer. She must have heard it all as she thanked me for letting her know....
Coffee with the whole group this morning. Conversation centered around Christmas celebrations and one combination Christmas/Hanukkah one, duplicated Christmas gifts, food and how we're all ready for a green salad!
What a difference a year makes! first part of collage in extras is Spike and Blake on Christmas day. In the intervening year, Dana and Jim got rid of all the old living room furniture and replaced it with all new. The second part of the extra was taken this year....
When we got home I had just enough time to sweep up an ever growing fall of Christmas tree needles and contemplate taking up the quilted jacket project again when it was time to pick up Spike sporting a very shiny and soft coat and extremely tidy feet! He smells really good too....
