Solo

After some general tidying up and laundry, Mt&H got packed up and I dropped them at their car to go for their spa break. Home, I took the weans and Higgs to the park, buying a football en route for Mx to do some of his training that he earnestly explained his coach had told him to do all through the holidays from his ‘fun football’ club.
He seems a bit more alert today, although still coughing a lot. T texted to say he has a chest infection too and is off work tonight and just staying in bed….theres a lot of it about!
After a good play we came home and they had pasta and cauliflower cheese for lunch then we headed to the Lyceum theatre.
Treasure Island was really good! I’d seen a couple of rather different reviews, one very positive and the other less so but we all enjoyed it and there was loads of action and singing and props changes via trapdoors in the stage floor…all the elements of a fun kids show.
We walked home in the gloom, Mx starting to fade but he made it back and we had some supper then they played around with the reindeer hat / hoop throwing game. Mt&H called….they were having a great time and had enjoyed their treatments and relaxation time. Showed us their fancy room and robes etc….sounds lovely. They’re going to walk into North Berwick tonight to get some dinner then back to the spa in the morning.
Once the kids were in bed I had some leftovers for supper then watched some catch up things whilst trying to stop the cat wrecking the Christmas tree!
Early night….

Oops just realised this is my 11th anniversary on blip (came very quickly after 4000 milestone!)…I’m used to it being on the 28th. Thanks to all of you who drop into my journal and to everyone who runs the site!
