A perfect pressie

We had a road trip to Poole to visit Ian’s mum and brother and sister in law. We had a wonderful brunch that my sister in law is a whizz at producing.  Her stuffed mushrooms are always a highlight. Although Leo would say the sausages are best and he ate his way through about 10 in various different forms.

They had asked for ideas for pressies and I mentioned UNO flip as a year of playing each Sunday means my current ones are all a bit battered and a bit tacky so it can be hard to pick them up from the pack.  We will be able to play our year end decider with this lovely new pack now.

Our washing machine woes are still continuing a despite 3 plumber visits it is still leaking.  It looks like it might be something more fundamental than the hose join leaking.  The cost of getting a Zanussi engineer out and any parts was looking as expensive as getting a new machine so we have bitten the bulletin and ordered a new machine.

It will be such a relief to be able to wash again without any stress.  It has felt like weeks of a combo of handwashing or risking the machine and having days of drying out again.

Thank goodness the floor doesn’t look to have suffered to9 badly for its repeated soakings
