Heading Out On A Nighttime Safari, Aylesford
For today's images me and my brother decided to head out on a nighttime local safari to see if we could capture some slow shutter speed nocturnal shots to add to our repertoire.
I must admit we did walk around pretty aimlessly for a while but decided not to overthink it too much and effectively just pointed our cameras towards the 'pretty lights' to see what we could capture!
The main image is mine and is of the headlights and brake lights from the passing traffic on the very busy Hermitage Lane reflected on to the hoarding which is currently disguising yet another new housing development but I think it looks more like a woozy metropolitan skyline.. I just loved all the colours and the warped shapes the lights produced and how the curb has been illuminated.
The extra is my brother's shot from the opposite side of the road towards the bright lights of the retail park across the road. He really liked how the grass was lit up in the foreground, the patina on the lamppost and that you can see the reflections on the lens from the rain that had just begun to fall. Oh the glamour!
