Of all the guests I had known her the longest - all my life, as it happens. It was quite a big gathering at the Coq o’Barton Malpas, with her children and grandchildren. Some of these had travelled from the USA where they are revered as Wrexham Supporters, qualifying by birthright, occasionally having to explain to the Americans that Wrexham AFC is the third oldest football club in the world and was founded in 1864, not recently by some film stars.
