Kummeli and its friends in nice light

Beautiful sunrise and a bit of frost (-5 C) in the morning got me do a long walk along Saimaa Canal to a new geocache. At the end my tracking app showed 15 kms walking. 

The main photo is of Finland's largest inland harbor, where the tender ship Kummeli is parked to wait in case a cargo ship on Lake Saimaa needs help navigating the ice until shipping traffic stops completely in January.

In extra photos three more shots of my trip. In the first is a deer on the field, second image shows a fireweed in nice backlight and third image  shows my route and the maintenance road of the canal following the canal. Road is also very nice for biking on summer, now ice skates would have been more suitable, but with studded shoes it was also safe to walk on it.
