Can't a deer eat in peace?

This mule deer was enjoying a quiet breakfast when a neighboring dog noticed it and started barking.
Clearly the deer was more annoyed than threatened!
It allowed me to come closer and take quite a few photos before giving me the evil eye, and then it went back to eating grass.
