1039 day of war
Hello, friends!
This week, our entire country celebrated Christmas together with the rest of the world. This marks the second year since our country abandoned the Soviet tradition of celebrating Christmas on January 7 and switched to the calendar used by our ancestors. I like these changes, and as I see it, many people have easily embraced them and are happily celebrating Christmas earlier.
On this day, as expected, there were attacks on the energy system. We were prepared for this, and it seems the air defense worked well because power outages were very brief, and electricity was restored almost immediately after the attack. Last year, it was the same, including attacks on New Year's, so before every holiday, we prepare in advance to spend several hours in shelters.
I hardly followed the news during this time because I was very busy with work, but that likely turned out for the best. I managed to get a lot of work done, prepare gifts for friends, and tidy up at home. Now, during these last days of the year, I’m summing up my accomplishments, and I’m quite satisfied with what I’ve achieved. Just a few months ago, I thought my tiedye hobby was over, but now I realize I’ve managed to sell almost everything I had in stock.
I understood that selling my work through Instagram wasn’t very convenient for me or for others. At the beginning of the month, I created a channel in a messenger app where I started uploading my available works, offering discounts on items that had been sitting for a long time. This really worked! I managed to earn some extra money and now have the opportunity to buy more fabric, dyes, and materials for my work.
I’ve also realized that I’ve become mentally stronger this year. Tough times seem to harden you, leading to a reevaluation of everything that’s happening. Minor problems no longer bother me, and challenges are no longer seen as punishments from life but as trials to overcome and grow stronger. I try to do everything I can, and I’m glad I have the strength not to give up when things aren’t going well. And for this, I’m very thankful to you! Thank you for your support, I’m glad I have someone to share with.
Right now, Nastya is continuing to embroider brooches as gifts for friends, and today I finished all my tiedye work, so now I can dedicate more time to other tasks. I also have two workdays left, and then I’ll finally be able to just relax, take longer walks on snowy streets, feed stray cats more often, and do nothing for a few days. I’m really looking forward to it!
Thank you all for your support and for your greetings on BuyMeACoffee, I truly appreciate your help. I wish everyone a wonderful Christmas break and happy holidays!
