In search of …

… Bearded Tits, at Tay Reed Beds.
We didn’t see any but thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon in their habitat. The weather was astonishingly good; dry, calm, sunny, Perthshire in December, fantastic! We will definitely go back and hopefully, one day, see some ‘Beardies’, the number one bird on my wish list.
Main: sun starting to go down/grit tray for bearded tits who ingest grit into their crop, which they use to “chew” reed seed.
