Christmas Dinner

The place we are staying doesn't have much of a kitchen, so plans for a big Christmas dinner were substituted for takeout. For some reason, Chinese was selected and mom and dad were nominated to go pick up. We ordered online and were told it would be 45 minutes. Then we received a call and were told it would be two hours. After we cancelled the order, we received another call with a new time of "an hour, maybe less". We figured a visit might hasten things along, learning when we arrived that it was takeout only because of Christmas. The worker graciously allowed us to order wine and sit in the empty restaurant. He even brought us a snack to tide us over.
