Flowers on a Bittersweet Day

Today was my sister’s birthday, and she came over to mine to celebrate. I can now reveal that the present blipped yesterday contained, among other things, rinkside tickets to see Torvill & Dean’s ‘Our Last Dance’ show at Wembley Arena in April. We are both very excited, to say the least! We went out to The Ship in Tiptree for lunch, which I chose for its comprehensive choice of delicious vegetarian dishes. We also added to our seasonal sugar overload with a honeycomb cheesecake and a Flake sundae. Yum!

After lunch we laid flowers together on Mum and Dad’s grave at St Luke’s, because sadly today is also the second anniversary of our Mum’s passing. We will always miss our lovely parents - we were lucky to have the very best you could wish for - but today we chose to remember the good times we had with them.
