Silver 'Why' Moth
This inquisitive little fella (silver 'why' moth - get it!?) is a Silver Y Moth (Autographa gamma). Called so because of the 'Y' shaped mark on each of its forewings.
He was hanging around on my flowers this morning. I managed to get him to crawl onto a leaf (a trick taught to me by a colleague) since he was hidden under leaves making it difficult to shoot.
My flower pots are turning into a real wildlife refuge. My speckled bush cricket is still hanging around in the same pot of flowers.
