An Abstract Crossing
Now that my ankle is on the mend we were able to head out for a longer run today through the grounds of Preston Hall and past the new roundabout which has just finished being built after ten tortuous months causing severe traffic delays - it might not exactly be an ultra run along be the Timberline Trail (a famous running and hiking route in Oregon) but it's still not everyone that gets to run through the grounds of a former manorial home who's origins date back nearly 900 years and was once owned by baronets and then past a brand new roundabout! :-)
Later in the day we took another stroll back down to The Chequers for a pint and a walk around the village to try and get our images for the day. This image was taken as we walked back home and were stopped at our local railway crossing. We can sometimes get stuck at this crossing twice a day either on foot or by car so why not immortalise it in abstract form for today's blip!
The rest of the day was spent catching up on some telly including another enthralling Tower of London documentary about the two lost princes, rather hyperbolically called "The Princes In The Tower: A Damning Discovery", and making a shroom ragu for tonight's dinner.
So quite a varied day in the end which managed to include a baronial manor house, a new roundabout, an abstract railway crossing, lost princes and mushrooms!
