Grandma's Words

I've worked on restoring this photo of my grandmother, taken in 1906 when she was sixteen years old, for months.  It was probably taken by her brother-in-law who was an avid photographer.  I am pleased with her face but there was just nothing I could do with the washed-out blouse so this morning I added something she had written in her common book.  The original writing is in the extras.  I used it in a textile collage piece I did years ago. She collected quotes she liked and wrote them down.  I always thought she looked a bit like Katherine Hepburn in this photo.
