Fading beauty

How to save all the beautiful buildings I have been looking at that are being left to rot or have already rotted beyond repair? In major cities you feel someone will eventually repair or renovate them but in provincial towns, who cares enough and/or has the cash? I also seem to have drunk a lot of Bordeaux reds in this process.

And now for my real guilty pleasure. Watching Top Gear.
