Hazel catkins
Today I really didn't have much of a walk at all. The weather's still gloomy - misty, cold and damp, so I just went out onto the Green and blipped these hazel catkins. I couldn't find any with their tiny scarlet flowers but there were a lot fully ready to scatter pollen, which seemed a bit unlikely without the flowers to pollinate.
That's as far as I've been outside, but there's a lot of cleaning up and washing to do inside, so a peaceful day but busy.
Today would have been my mum's 98th birthday. Happy birthday, Mum. And take care of yourselves, lovely blippers xx
