Police aware

I pushed G to church this morning and, on the way, was surprised to see this evidence of what I have since learnt was caused by an errant car. I'm not sure when it happened but I think it must have been pretty recent as I don't recall noticing it when I passed this way last Monday.  The police are obviously aware as the gap in the fence is now closed off by a police 'do not cross' tape. I gather that the driver of the car that crashed into the fence did a runner, abandoning the vehicle. That is at least 3rd hand testimony so I'm not sure how accurate it is. I just hope that no-one was hurt.
