New growth

I finally felt well enough today to get out in the garden. I had a look around and spotted this hellebore with flower buds, so that’s promising! I checked and we are getting a minute more daylight every evening already, and I think the plants have noticed. The hens have started laying too!!
I have been lent a Charles Dowding ‘no dig gardening’ book and it has inspired me to get my veg patches in order and mulched, ready for spring. The beds I mulched thoroughly last year have been very easy to weed so the method is working already. And to think, we have spent the last thirty years digging away, trying to get weeds out and destroying the soil structure!
Oh well, you live and learn…..eventually.
