Tamales

Tamales are traditional for Christmastime in Mexico, and also in South Texas where we used to live.  It's hard to find good tamales here-- as they say, don't eat Mexican food east of the Mississippi or north of Dallas-- and we are definitely north of Dallas. My husband found these at a restaurant and they aren't bad at all. Not as good as the ones in Texas, but they will do.
