Back to normality

My swim was great. And I had the pool to myself. A bit too warm and in need of a bit of a clean, but great. Without this pool I couldn’t have done all the walking and sightseeing on my recent trip. 

Waitrose….no splendid reductions but a few shelves pretty empty. Lovely to see our friendly staff….and they still had sprouts on a stalk to keep me enjoying these quality vegetables.

Library…..a lovely chat, collected five books I’d requested. Interesting to find that one of the assistants had also been very disappointed in the new Richard Osman. I’m not sure I’d have got to the end of it without the plane delay on Saturday. I didn’t like his attitude, his condescending view of the father in law, or the name dropping and silly storyline.

I’m now stocked with perishables and good things to read……prepared for all this awful weather we’ve been warned about.

And I called in to the little reserve on the way home. Beautiful blue sky and light.
