Below The Water Spout

Some of the pretty things that our next door neighbour did in her yard have survived the abuses of the renters who replaced her. I surreptitiously cut some of the dead vine out of this clematis earlier in the summer. My efforts to get it to climb onto its trellis came too late but isn't it lovely anyway? Here's to you, Jeannie!
