Safari Big 5 ...

.... in a day. I put together a collage of it as a record.

Back Blipped
We set off at 7.30 am after breakfast towards the north, we saw elephant along the round Then we went around a kopje looking for lions & saw some with cubs, but difficult to photograph them, as they were lying up under bushes on the rocks, with good views. We also saw Klipspringer (see extra).
After passing the airstrip again, we went north eastwards. We came to a junction, where some jeeps were stopped. They had sighted a leopard at the bottom of a tree, but I could just about see a small area of leopard pattern through the grass.
We also drove to an area, where rhino had been seen earlier, but we couldn’t see any. We drove into another area & in the distance Jackson had spotted something, driving further on, a passenger of another jeep spotted rhino way in the distance, a male, female & baby. It was great to see them. A distant photo in extras.
We also saw a Zebra stallion, chasing an interloper, I got a few photos from our moving jeep (in extras). We had a view across the plains & river to Kenya, way in the distance.
We returned back near the earlier sighting of the leopard, seeing a female hyena & her 2 young along the road, she looked ill at ease. Then seeing the leopard more clearly than earlier, he stood up, jumped onto a branch halfway up the tree, looked around & then moved on up to the thicker bushy branches & looked out over the plain. Jackson moved the jeep round to give us a better view. See extra
We also saw a single Cape Buffalo, across the Mara River with a very badly swollen knee, that meant the safari Big 5 in a single day. So, I made a collage to illustrate it. Wow, another great day.
It rained on our way back to the camp & the roof had to be closed. Another night of very heavy rain.
