The Warrior

Since I was stuck in the house working all day, I snapped this fellow for today's blip. A 3-foot high terracotta warrior, made on site in Xian, using the traditional method. It is an exact replica, except in size - the originals stand about 7 feet high. We brought two back from China with us, having bought special rucksacks so we could carry them on our backs and sneak them into the aeroplane cabin. They now stand on either side of our Francois Premier fireplace. A bizarre mix of cultures.
