I did a double take when I saw this

… were my eyes deceiving me? But yes, he is a pheasant and his plumage looks good. Sadly I think he is very poorly.  I saw him at the side of the house yesterday and he was not well.  I’m expecting a body today unless some other creature of the night has found him first.
