Bombay Sapphire

This morning we visited my mother-in-law who lives in a local nursing home. She had a fall a few months ago and broke her hip so she’s in a wheelchair now and a bit frail, but she looked well, even if her memory is starting to fail a little. She will be 99 in January so she’s doing pretty well.

After lunch, we went on a tour of the Bombay Sapphire distillery which isn’t too far away. I’d been before not long after it opened at this site in 2014, but it was still very interesting. The glasshouses here were designed by architect Thomas Heatherwick who also designed the London 2012 opening ceremony cauldron.
