Near the End……

…… of the year. And near the end of our walk….overlooking a rural landscape. Some of last night’s rain clouds are clearing from the Wither Hills. There were 24mms of overnight rain in the gauge this morning. Hannah’s and Alex’s rain gauge read 60mm near Marahau this morning. Storm-wise, Blenheim was let off lightly last night. In contrast Marahau had a horrific thunderstorm last night….. thunder, torrential rain, hail and gales. The worst they have experienced in that site. Now all is calm, all is bright here this evening. I have spent a pleasant evening with friend Lis and others. I’m home now, sitting up in bed, doing Wordle and waiting for 2024 to roll away and the New Year to roll in.Happy New Year everyone.
