Heralding …

…the last dawn of 2024!
This was taken at 8.23am as we crossed Bingley Moor to Guiseley for our M&S shop. We didn't plan to go so early but we were up and thought we might as well get it out of the way. I had a parcel to collect which I had thought I was getting last week before I went to Bath but had mixed up the days. It was a jumper for Grace so we actually got one in the Bath store on Sunday. I had to collect and return the other one straight away!

We got lots of a yellow sticker bargains for the freezer ( like PaulaJ yesterday) including a bag of Shetland slightly smoked salmon fillets and (AMSI) a light up Christmas tree with shortbread biscuits for £2! Got our usual fruit and veg too and something for tonight plus a treat bunch of tulips to see in the New Year. We were finished and having a coffee in Costa before 9.00am!

On our way back we called into Woodbank Garden Centre, which had just opened and I managed a few half price bargains in their sale of Christmas stock including cards and wrap for next year. Feeling very pleased with myself.

Did put a bit of washing out to blow on the line as it was still only just after 10.00 am when we got home but by lunchtime the dreaded weather had arrived and it’s vile out there now.

Chris has made a batch of leek and potato soup for the freezer, which is now starting to look replenished,  and he’s made some celery soup for us to have with some left over Stilton cheese tomorrow.

I’ve seen some great sunrise and sunsets shots over Christmas on blip but we haven’t seen any in Bath and don’t often get them from home so I was delighted to get this to post as my last blip of 2024.

Have a good Old Years night everyone, unless you are already in 2025 in the antipodes and a very Happy New Year to all blippers and your families everywhere.
