What!

a quiet day in Chablis today. It was lovely not to have an Agenda, and just mooch around reading and ... drinking Chablis. The river Serein runs beside the pretty campsite where we are staying, and inevitably the children wanted a swim. Managed to dissuade them from inflating the giant dolphin and tyre that we purchased at great expense in Clairvaux, and will probably never make it out from under the back seat of the van ever again.

For some unfathomable reason Z decided to rap throughout his swim, very loudly. Chablis, for all the talk in the guide books of being a touristic hell, is actually peaceful beyond belief. For once the intergenerational embarrassment was on the other foot.
