Recycled Lights
We had a walk up the hill today with a group from the Greenhouse Project in the park. Inclement weather was forecast, and while it started out okay, it ended as foretold. It was a pleasant excursion, but very muddy (oh. what a surprise). More details in BrambleBlossom's Blip.
Now sat in front of a roaring fire (due to the strong winds). My Blip is from yesterday's job of getting rid of some Christmas lights that are not fit for purpose. The bin beckoned but instead I salvaged and recycled what I could. The wire is going in the recycling bin, 10 bulbs into my spare bulb tin, 100 clear stars will end up on the bulbs of some other lights, and I'll keep the transformer as we are missing one from other lights. So the bulb holders and 90 old bulbs went into the refuse.
I was so enthused that I did the same to another set with15 bulbs broken or missing.
Happy New Year to you all. Let us hope for better weather at least.
