We made a cooked breakfast then it was packing and the journey home for the family. It’s been lovely seeing them but I’m shattered!

Jane sent me a message later to say the sun was shining when they drove through Kendal and she hoped it was here too. No, it wasn’t. Looking back through my blips I think it’s 18 days since there was any blue sky here. There have been a few starry nights but it’s been dull again by dawn.

I walked down the hill later. Sale therapy didn’t lift the weather misery. I didn’t buy anything. I’ve tried ale too and that hasn’t helped either!
