Every Dec. 31st., friends of ours invite us for a 'breakfast' which lasts nearly until lunchtime. It's always lovely, of course, to see lots of friends and their children, but a short bike ride was needed afterwards to work off some of the food.
In the afternoon we went for a walk where I noticed this cormorant. Amazing catchers of fish, they can dive up to 50 meters deep, holding their breath for several minutes.
