And that's a wrap
Well, here we are, the end of the year. The day at the controls went by quite quickly and reasonably productively, with a visit from Mum and Dad after lunch for a bit of a catch up. The weather hasn't been great: in fact it's been pretty horrible with more wind and rain, but it eased off at teatime and I had a walk around the place to get some fresh air.
An evening of music was in order, so it was time to break out the fancy bass and have a go at some vintage Nick Beggs, he of Kajagoogoo and possessed at the time of the most incredibly 1980's haircut. He was recently reunited with his black Wal bass that he used to record the song, 'Too Shy'. And since we're in the period, I've just enjoyed a performance by Rick Wakeman in 1984 that included medleys of pieces from his Six Wives, Journey and King Arthur albums that I love, plus bits from his 1984 album, which he recorded in 1981 and I've never listened to, but I liked what I heard.
I also heard that Edinburgh's Hogmanay bash in Princes Street Gardens was cancelled because of the high winds. At least that means 50,000 people can now go to bed at 10pm like they wanted to all along. ;-)
Hope you all have a good New Year's Eve!
