a short period of sunshine carved through the grey and soggy day, just long  enough for me to nip out and get the makings of tomorrow’s shepherd pie, which I’m preparing for friends. It lit up Dunblane Museum and the cathedral for a little while, so I got lucky, as I am also to live so close to this historic square.

Wishing you all well as we use this random date to see out the old… I prefer to aim for a better 2025 than focus on this last year, but there were still a number of sunny moments to savour.
